This is typically caused by a misalignment or an obstruction of the safety sensors located at the bottom of the door tracks. Ensure nothing is blocking the laser beam and that the lenses are clean and pointing directly at each other.
Check if the emergency release cord has been accidentally pulled. If it is uncoupled from the track, firmly push the red release lever back toward the motor until it snaps into place to reconnect it.
